Mondays-Fridays
Families with children in grades K and up may enroll them in our After School Art Program on Mondays through Fridays. Children will unleash their creativity with various activities, and have use of our art supplies. Students can be dropped off or DRES students can take the bus to the studio directly from school. Region 4 is closed or closing early but we are open! Students age 5 & up are invited to join us for a day of creating. Full day program runs 9-1, 1/2 day program 1-3pm. We ask that parents pack a snack, water bottle, change of clothes, (& lunch for full day program students). We suggest clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty.
Hand Building Clay & 3D Creations

Students will learn how to create 3D sculptures using a wide variety of materials including but not limited to clay, cardboard, cast + molds, & more! We will be creating sculptures by building, carving, and combining.

Video Making

Students will learn how to create their own characters, backgrounds, and objects using plasticine clay, felt, & other 3D supplies all to create scenes and tell a story by taking photos which will be combined to eventually create a stop motion film. Students will learn how to write, create, and direct their own movies which will be finalized with words & music. You are welcome to bring your own ipad with the “stop motion” app already downloaded or borrow one of our studio ipads. All movies created on our ipads will be sent to parents via email for their records.

Digital Illustration is drawings created digitally using technology. Students will learn the ins and outs of the digital illustration app called Procreate.
